Finding time to get into the shop and make things has been scarce lately. My sister and I just finished a remodel of Mom’s master bath (and guess who forgot to take a “before” photo?). It turned out really nice though!
But this last weekend I finally got to go out and play. I have some left over maple with a beautiful figure to it and some pieces of walnut with what turned out to be a stunning grain pattern so I made a few cutting boards!
If you’ve never made cutting boards they are a great first project for beginners as they don’t have to be complicated but they do take you through just about every tool in the shop before they are done. Here’s a good, simple tutorial
If you are interested in purchasing one, they are for sale on my Etsy Store, or you can contact me directly through the website.
